Language specific features

On-screen keyboard

The on-screen keyboard is shown only on mobile devices. For languages that do not use the English alphabet, we provide a custom on-screen keyboard, with characters specific to the language's script.

If a language used a script written from right to left (for ex. Arabic or Hebrew), the clue, menus, instructions and other elements are rendered in the right to left direction, in both the print and the puzzle player interface.

Language specific fonts

Our support for Google Fonts allows you to choose fonts specifically created for your language (for example, Rajdhani font for Hindi and Nepali). You can also choose fonts with different writing styles for the same language (for example, Naskh vs Nastaliq writing style fonts for Arabic and Urdu).

Phonetic typing

For Hindi and Urdu, solvers have the option to use a phonetic keyboard as well. They can type in their responses using the English alphabet, and our system will automatically interpret and convert their entries into the puzzle's language.

Voice typing (Beta)

On supported devices, solvers can choose to speak out their answers, and our voice typing assistant will convert those to text entries for the puzzle. This feature is currently available for Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Urdu.
