Embedding Your Puzzle in SharePoint

If your organization uses SharePoint for internal content, team pages, or knowledge hubs, you can embed your puzzle directly into a SharePoint page using the Embed web part and the provided iframe code. This lets your team view and interact with the puzzle without ever leaving SharePoint.

Before embedding, make sure your SharePoint administrator has whitelisted the puzzle's domain. SharePoint only allows iframe embeds from explicitly trusted domains.Below is a short video which takes you through the process.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Copy the Embed Code from the Publish Page

    • Go to the puzzle’s Publish page.
    • Find the iframe embed code section.
    • Click Copy to copy the full embed code.
  2. Ensure the Domain Is Whitelisted in SharePoint

    • SharePoint requires that the domain hosting the embedded content is approved in the admin settings.
    • Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to:
      • Go to the Site Contents section on the Sharepoint site.
      • Navigate to Site Settings → HTML Field Security.
      • Add your puzzle’s domain (e.g. puzzleme.amuselabs.com) to the list of allowed domains.
    • Without this step, SharePoint will block the embed for security reasons.
  3. Open Your SharePoint Page in Edit Mode

    • Navigate to the SharePoint site and page where you want to embed the puzzle.
    • Click the Edit button (usually at the top-right of the page).
  4. Add the Embed Web Part

    • Click the "+" icon to insert a new web part.
    • Select the "Embed" option from the list.
    • A field will appear labeled "Add a link or embed code."
  5. Paste the iframe Code

    • In the field, paste the full iframe code you copied from the puzzle’s Publish page.
    • You should see a live preview of the embedded puzzle if the domain is whitelisted.
  6. Resize and Publish

    • You can adjust the height/width parameters in the iframe code if needed.
    • Click Publish to make the embedded puzzle visible to viewers.

Notes

  • The embed must use https:// for security compliance.
  • If the puzzle doesn’t appear after publishing, double-check:
    • That you used the full iframe code (not just the link).
    • That the PuzzleMe™ domain is correctly whitelisted.
    • That you are using a modern SharePoint page, not a legacy/classic layout (which may handle embeds differently).

Once embedded, the puzzle becomes a seamless part of your SharePoint page — ideal for internal trainings, team challenges, or engagement campaigns across your organization.
