Common questions

What is a series?
A series is analogous to a folder on your computer. It can be used to organize puzzles and assist you in your content management workflow.

Read What is a series? for more information.
What are the benefits of using a series?
For puzzle players, they can access a set of puzzles on a single page, and track their progress for all these puzzles over time.

For puzzle creators, it streamlines the content management workflow. Since puzzles can be added to the [series picker](/docs/series/series-picker) directly, no new iframe embed is required for each puzzle. Moreover, you can enforce a consistent design across puzzles without styling each puzzle individually. This helps you maintain a brand identity or create a themed series.

Can I create multiple series?
All user accounts come with a Default series. This series cannot be modified. If you're on the free plan, you're restricted to a single series. If you're on a Plus plan, you can create up to 2 series. If you're on a Professional plan, you can create up to 10 series. If you're on an Enterprise plan, you can create up to 25 series!
Can I copy puzzles from one series to another?
Yes. The process to do so can be found here.
How do I rename a series?
You can rename only the series display name and not the series code. The process to do so can be found here.
Can I delete a series?
Yes. The steps for doing so are here. Please be extremely cautious while using this function.
Can I import series from my other PuzzleMe accounts?
Yes, you can migrate series between accounts. For more details, see the Migrate Series section in Account Details.
Is there a limit to how many puzzles appear in the series picker?
If you're on our [Personal plan](https://amuselabs.com/pricing), your account includes one [series](/docs/series/what-is-a-series). When you embed this series, all puzzles will be displayed if there are fewer than 14. If there are more, the picker will automatically show the 14 most recent puzzles. If you'd like to feature more than 14 puzzles, you can always embed individual puzzles instead of the picker.

For partners on our [Professional or Enterprise plans](https://amuselabs.com/pricing), multiple series can be created. When you embed a series, the picker will display the 14 most recent puzzles. If you'd like to hide certain puzzles, you can simply move them to a different series.
