Frequently asked questions

Objective

Answer common questions about billing and product customization

Can I download my puzzle data?

Yes. There are two main types of data you can download from PuzzleMe:

  1. Puzzle data (CSV or PDF): You can download the actual puzzle content from the Publish page. You can export individual puzzles or entire series as CSV files, or save puzzles as PDF for printing or offline use.

  2. Play-by-play analytics data (CSV): You can download detailed analytics about how players interacted with your puzzles from the Analytics page. This includes information about each play session - completion times, scores, participant details, and other performance metrics.

Does page refresh count as new game loads?

Yes, page refresh counts as a new game load. However, this is not a general practice among users.

What about support and maintenance?

Our Support Team will be your point of contact for onboarding and any support as required. The solvers also have an option to reach out to Amuse Labs in case of any specific queries or issues with respect to their games. This is a standard practice with all our partners.

Do you provide free trials?

We do not have trial periods to offer as a few days or weeks are rarely an accurate indicator on the user behaviour for the games. It is recommended to spend 3-6 months building the games experience and optimizing. The PuzzleMe™ Terms of Use have a standard one-month notice termination clause that you can utilize anytime.

Do we have any special integrations with React?

We do not have specific modules for React. Our iframe communication can be used by the JavaScript running on your page, including your React modules.

What if there is a gap with the login/UID associated with the host page, and the puzzle is requested but not necessarily attributed with the user?

This should not be a problem as the flow has been tested before going live, and many large sites use PuzzleMe for various scenarios.

Is there a staging environment that you can provide to test the games before publishing?

You could either use a social login (Google/Facebook) to create and test puzzles, or use a draft Series in your PuzzleMe account.

What is the number of API calls per second and per minute?

We can scale horizontally to accommodate your flows and users. Please contact us with your requirements.

The host page will be sending requests to PuzzleMe to load the puzzle, but does PuzzleMe have webhooks to return puzzle information to the host page, without request?

Puzzle information is communicated to the host page automatically. Please refer to our iframe communication documentation.

How does integration work?

Please refer to our integration documentation.

Can I use PuzzleMe puzzles for commercial purposes, such as monetizing them through ads, paid app downloads, or in-app purchases?

You cannot use PuzzleMe puzzles for commercial purposes on the Personal (free) plan. However, commercial use is available on our Plus, Professional, and Enterprise plans.

You can monetize through ads on any commercial plan without additional restrictions. Any puzzles requiring payment to access (paywalled series, paid app downloads, or in-app purchases) are billed at a higher per-load rate.

Please contact us directly through our website and we'll help you find the right solution for your specific needs and requirements. You can also check our pricing page to explore plan options that may better suit your commercial use case.

How much history is included in the Puzzle Analytics dashboard?

The data retention policy for Puzzle Analytics may depend on your plan and agreement. Please contact us for more information about your specific data retention period.

Can I export puzzles in a usable format (JSON, XML, etc.)?

No, PuzzleMe does not support exporting puzzles in JSON, XML, or other programmatic formats for loading into external app engines.

However, you can download puzzle data in CSV format from the Publish page. The CSV export includes puzzle content, answers, clues, and metadata for Crosswords, Jigsaw, Kriss Kross, Quiz, Sudoku, Wordrows, Word Flowers, and Word Searches. This data can be downloaded for individual puzzles or entire series.

For commercial use and app integration, what are the current subscription or licensing costs, and are there per-puzzle or per-month usage limits?

Please check our pricing page for current subscription costs and plan details. For specific commercial use cases, app integration requirements, and custom usage limits, please contact us to discuss your needs.
