Overview of common platforms where our puzzles can be published

PuzzleMe puzzles can be published anywhere custom HTML or iframes are supported, including a number of website builders, blogging websites and newsletters. This article covers how you can publish the puzzles on most commonly used platforms.

Blogging​

BlogSpot / Blogger​

Embedding a puzzle in a BlogSpot blog post

Steps to embed a puzzle in a BlogPost blog post:

  1. Create or Edit an existing blog posts.
  2. In the top right corner of the post editor, switch to HTML View from Compose View.
  3. Locate where you want to embed the puzzle in the blog post.
  4. From your PuzzleMe dashboard, go to the Preview page for the puzzle you want to publish.
  5. Copy the JS embed code and paste it in the BlogSpot post editor.
  6. Hit Preview or Publish!

Medium​

Embedding a puzzle in a Medium post

Steps to embed a puzzle in a Medium post:

  1. Create or Edit an existing Medium posts.
  2. In the post editor, click on the ⊕ icon on the left side. A small menu of options will popup.
  3. Click on the "Add an embed" icon.
  4. From your PuzzleMe dashboard, go to the Preview page for the puzzle you want to publish.
  5. Copy the direct link and paste it in the post editor, and hit Enter.
  6. Wait for a couple of seconds. The interactive puzzle will now be shown in your post editor.
  7. Hit Publish and share your puzzles with your readers!

Website builders​

Weebly​

Embedding a puzzle in a Weebly page

Steps to embed a puzzle in a Weebly page:

  1. In your Weebly site backend, select "Edit Site" from the Website menu, in the left menu bar.
  2. Click on the Edit button in the top right corner. This will open the Weebly page builder.
  3. Locate the "Embed Code" widget under the "Basic" section in the left menu.
  4. Drag and drop the Embed Code widget to your page where you want to embed the puzzle on your page.
  5. Click on the Embed Code widget.
  6. A popup box will open. Click on the "Edit Custom HTML" button in the popup box.
  7. From your PuzzleMe dashboard, go to the Preview page for the puzzle you want to publish.
  8. Copy the JS embed code and paste it in the HTML editor field.
  9. Hit Publish!

Reddit​

Embedding a puzzle in a Reddit post

On Reddit, interactive puzzle embeds are available only on the old version, with the old.reddit.com domain. On the new Reddit interface, you will not be able to solve the interactive puzzle, but will be able to click a link to the puzzle instead.

Steps to embed a puzzle in a Reddit post:

  1. From your Reddit account, click on "Submit a new link".
  2. On the draft page, select the link tab at the top (instead of the text tab)
  3. From your PuzzleMe dashboard, go to the Preview page for the puzzle you want to publish.
  4. Copy the direct link and paste it in the url field on the Reddit link editor page.
  5. Add the title for the link, and any other optional text.
  6. Select the subreddit where you want to post your puzzle.
  7. Submit your post. Now anyone viewing or commenting on your post can solve the puzzle directly, without leaving Reddit!
