User Stats
Learn what solvers see after they finish a puzzle and what each stat card means.
User Stats helps you turn casual plays into a habit by giving solvers a clear picture of their progress: streaks, puzzles started, and how often they finish correctly, immediately after they complete a puzzle.
For players, it is a personal scoreboard on the Congratulations screen, built to motivate them to return, catch up on older puzzles, and push their best run.
What solvers see
When User Stats is enabled, solvers see their stats on the Congratulations screen after they finish a puzzle.

User Stats on this screen includes:
- A streak message at the top (for example, “Your streak has begun. Keep it up.”). The message reflects their current streak status.
- Four stat cards (see below).
Stat cards
Each card shows a label and a number (or percentage). The reference below matches the four cards on the Congratulations screen.
Your streak
The solver’s current streak in this series.
Max streak
The longest streak they have ever reached in this series.
Started
Total puzzles they have started in this series.
Completed
Completion rate as a percentage.
All four cards apply to every puzzle type in the series.
| Card | How it's calculated |
|---|---|
| Your streak | Consecutive puzzles in series order, each completed before the next puzzle is published. |
| Max streak | Highest Your streak ever, using the same rules. |
| Started | Unique puzzle IDs started in the series (each puzzle counted once). |
| Completed | Share of started puzzles finished correctly. |
When User Stats is enabled, Start again is not available via the haumburger menu. Players cannot restart the same puzzle after they finish.
User identity
For User Stats to stay accurate across devices and return visits, each solver needs a consistent user ID. Pass an anonymized uid on the iframe when you embed puzzles on your site. For contest setups, see identifying puzzle solvers.
Without a stable ID, PuzzleMe may treat each visit as a new player, so stats and saved progress will not line up.
FAQ
Why did a solver's streak disappear when they logged in?
User Stats are tied to the user ID PuzzleMe sees for that browser session. If someone plays while logged out, their streak is stored against that anonymous ID. When they log in, your site usually passes a different ID on the puzzle iframe. PuzzleMe treats them as a new player, so the streak they built while logged out does not carry over.
Can solvers see other players' stats?
User Stats is personal. Solvers see their own progress for the series, not a full leaderboard of other players. For contest rankings, use scoring and analytics on the publisher side.
