Learn how to manage puzzle settings.
The PuzzleMe™ platform has a variety of puzzles, each with several settings that can be adjusted to enhance the player experience and achieve your branding goals.
Series defaults
When you create a puzzle as part of a series, several settings can inherit their values from your series settings instead of being configured per puzzle. This ensures consistency across all puzzles in your series while still allowing individual customization when needed.
For Start, Pause, and Completion experiences (Messaging), as well as scoring and assist features, the puzzle editor shows a "Use series defaults" toggle, enabled by default. When enabled, the puzzle automatically uses what you've configured at the series level. Turn it off to customize that setting just for this puzzle.
Some puzzle-specific settings work a little differently: there's no toggle, but if you set a value for the individual puzzle, it takes precedence over the series-level value.
