Objective

Learn how to install the PuzzleMe Games app for SharePoint and add puzzles to Modern SharePoint pages.

Adding PuzzleMe games to SharePoint

The PuzzleMe Games app lets you add PuzzleMe puzzles, quizzes, and games directly to Modern SharePoint pages using a SharePoint web part.

With this method, page editors do not need to copy iframe embed code into SharePoint. Once the app is installed, they can add the Puzzle Embed web part to a page, paste a supported PuzzleMe link, configure the display options, and publish the page.

2. Create or select a puzzle

  1. Log in to your PuzzleMe account.
  2. Open the Publish page for the puzzle you want to embed.
  3. Go to the SharePoint tab.
  4. Copy the puzzle link.

You can use this workflow for supported PuzzleMe games, quizzes, puzzle collections, and picker-style experiences.

3. Add the Puzzle Embed web part to a SharePoint page

  1. Open the SharePoint site where you want to add the puzzle.
  2. Create a new Modern page or edit an existing one.
  3. In the page editor, click the + icon to add a new web part.
  4. Search for the "Puzzle Embed" web part, or select it from the list of available web parts.
  5. The web part will be inserted into the page.
  1. Click the settings icon above the web part to open the settings pane.
  2. Paste the puzzle link you copied from the Publish page.
  3. Adjust the display settings as needed.

The web part settings support options such as:

  • Setting the height of the puzzle area
  • Adding an optional title
  • Showing or hiding the title above the puzzle
  • Showing or hiding a border around the puzzle

Once the link is added, readers can solve the puzzle directly inside the SharePoint page.

5. Publish the SharePoint page

After the puzzle appears correctly in the page editor, click Publish.

Your SharePoint page is now live with the PuzzleMe game embedded into it. Readers logged into your SharePoint site will now be able to save their puzzle progress and resume solving from any other browser or device.

Notes

  • Use the puzzle link from the SharePoint tab on the puzzle's Publish page.
  • You do not need to paste the full iframe embed code when using the PuzzleMe Games SharePoint app. The link to the puzzle is sufficient.
  • The web part is intended for Modern SharePoint pages. Classic SharePoint pages do not support the web part.
  • If the web part is not visible to a site editor, please confirm that the app has been installed and has been enabled for the specific SharePoint site.
  • Interactive iframe content may not work inside email clients. If you are sharing the puzzle by email, link users to the SharePoint page instead of trying to embed the puzzle inside the email body.

Once published, the puzzle becomes part of your SharePoint page and can be used for daily games, training quizzes, team challenges, or other internal engagement activities.
